Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: October 31, 2026

Image Text Editor is a tool for changing or removing text in images you own or have permission to edit. To keep the service lawful and safe, the uses below are not allowed. By uploading an image, you confirm that your request does not fall into any of these categories. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

You may not upload or edit

Images you do not have the right to edit

Artwork, photos, screenshots, posters, covers, or other third-party content that you do not own and do not have permission to modify.

Official documents, credentials, and records

Passports, ID cards, driver's licenses, residence permits, certificates, diplomas, transcripts, professional licenses, court or notarized documents, tax documents, bank statements, and contracts or letters bearing official stamps, seals, or signatures. This includes changing names, identification or serial numbers, dates, grades, amounts, stamps, or signatures on them, whether the document is real, generated, or made from a template.

Money, payments, and transaction records

Banknotes, checks, receipts, invoices, payment or transfer confirmations, refund or order confirmations, tickets, and anything designed to look like legal tender or a real transaction.

Screenshots and messages altered to deceive

Chats, emails, social media posts, news articles, or other screenshots changed to misrepresent who sent something, what it said, or when. Tidying up a screenshot of your own content for a presentation is fine; changing one to mislead someone else is not.

Deceptive edits of real people

Edits that put false or defamatory words in a real person's mouth, or that a reasonable viewer could mistake for authentic, including fake quotes, posts, or evidence.

Submissions to authorities or institutions

Any document or screenshot intended for visa, immigration, government, regulatory, banking, school, or employment submissions, such as invitation letters, bookings, proof of funds, salary slips, or verification letters. If you need a corrected document, ask the organization that issued it.

Harmful content

Sexual content involving minors (never allowed under any circumstances), non-consensual intimate imagery, sexually explicit content, graphic violence, content that encourages self-harm, harassment, hate, threats, or the sale of illegal goods or services.

Attempts to bypass safety measures

Trying to get around our checks, or the safety rules of the AI providers that process images for us.

What happens if these rules are broken

We may, at our discretion:

  • refuse or block the request;
  • delete the uploaded image and any generated result;
  • suspend or close the account and refuse new sign-ups from the same person;
  • decline refunds for credits used on prohibited requests;
  • keep the records needed to prevent abuse and meet legal obligations, as described in our Privacy Policy;
  • report apparent criminal activity, such as document forgery or financial fraud, to the relevant authorities, and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

You are responsible for the images you upload, the edits you request, and how you use the results.

Reporting abuse
