Hooks and Headlines
Update a short hook, tutorial promise, challenge title, reaction line, question, or video topic.
YouTube thumbnail text editing
Change words already embedded in a finished YouTube thumbnail without reopening the original Canva, Photoshop, or Figma file. Upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP thumbnail, select one hook, headline, number, episode label, or typo, enter the replacement, compare the generated result, and download a flattened PNG.
This tool edits an uploaded thumbnail image. It does not change your YouTube video title, publish the thumbnail, connect to YouTube Studio, or guarantee clicks, views, watch time, or ranking.
Choose a clear finished thumbnail containing the complete headline, hook, number, or short label you want to update.
Real before and after
Compare the original creator tutorial thumbnail with the flattened result produced by the current Image Text Editor workflow.

This example was generated with the current Image Text Editor workflow using the original uploaded thumbnail. One existing number and headline block was selected and replaced while the rest of the thumbnail remained the visual reference. The result is a flattened image, not an editable thumbnail template or text layer. Results vary with image quality, text style, background complexity, and model output. Review every character, outline, shadow, face, and nearby detail before publishing.
Focused thumbnail updates
Update a short hook, tutorial promise, challenge title, reaction line, question, or video topic.
Change a list count, price, duration, percentage, year, challenge day, or short performance number.
Replace an episode number, chapter label, part number, season, or recurring series identifier.
Refresh a year, month, event date, software version, or time-sensitive label in an authorized thumbnail.

Reuse an approved channel thumbnail layout while replacing one short title or episode-specific phrase.
Know which part of YouTube you are changing
Wording embedded in the uploaded JPG, PNG, or WebP. This is what the tool edits.
Metadata entered and edited through YouTube Studio. This tool does not change it.
A Canva, Figma, Photoshop, or other source file containing live text layers and full manual controls.
Use this workflow when the finished thumbnail image is the only practical source and one contained text change is needed. Use YouTube Studio to change the video title, and use the original design file when exact typography or broad layout changes are required.
Variations need separate review
Four-step thumbnail update
Upload the clearest JPG, PNG, or WebP version available. Use the original exported thumbnail rather than a compressed screenshot when possible.
Choose one full hook, headline, number, episode label, or typo. Include visible outlines and shadows when they are part of the lettering.
Type exactly what should appear in the new thumbnail. Concise wording with similar capitalization and visual length is generally easier to fit into the existing design.
Generate the updated thumbnail, compare it with the original, check every character and nearby visual element, then download the flattened PNG.
Small-screen readability matters
This page changes text inside the image you upload. It does not resize, crop, compress, or validate the thumbnail against YouTube’s current upload requirements.
Review before uploading
Confirm every letter, number, percentage, year, episode label, and punctuation mark.
Make sure the new thumbnail wording accurately represents the content of the video.
Review visible letter shape, weight, capitalization, color, outline, glow, and shadow.
Check faces, expressions, hands, products, gameplay elements, and important subjects near the selected text.
Inspect gradients, cutouts, lighting, arrows, textures, and graphical effects behind the changed wording.
Preview the result at a small size and confirm that the headline remains readable.
Check that the final composition remains appropriate for the intended thumbnail placement.
Confirm that the thumbnail is truthful, relevant to the video, and compliant with current thumbnail policies.
Flattened output
The generated result is saved as a new flattened image. The downloaded PNG does not contain an editable thumbnail template, separate text layer, original font file, or controls for changing the font, size, color, spacing, or position afterward.
Return to the original Canva, Figma, Photoshop, or other source file when the thumbnail requires exact typography, reusable layers, multiple layout changes, or a complete redesign.
Limits and authorization
Results are most consistent when the original thumbnail text is large, sharp, readable, and clearly separated from the background. Very small text, curved headlines, extreme 3D effects, metallic lettering, heavy glow, dense backgrounds, overlapping faces, strong compression, and long replacement copy can be less predictable.
The generated thumbnail may contain a spelling error, different letter width, altered spacing, traces of the original wording, an inconsistent background patch, or changes to nearby subjects. The current workflow focuses on one selected text block per generation.
Only upload and edit thumbnails you own or have permission to modify. Keep thumbnail wording truthful and relevant to the actual video. Do not use the tool to fabricate endorsements, platform notices, verification status, view counts, subscriber counts, financial results, or misleading claims.
